Arashiyama is one of the quietest areas in Kyoto. In spring, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the murmuring of the river shining brightly and the charming Togetsukyo Bridge all add to the cherry blossom scenery of Arashiyama.
This work combines the techniques of Kyoto prints, which are softly expressed like Japanese paintings, and Edo ukiyo-e, which uses vivid colors. The cherry blossoms, printed over and over again, add depth to their beauty.
