Arashiyama sakura
Arashiyama sakura
Arashiyama, a place where time ticks quietly even within Kyoto. The scenery of full bloomed Cherry blossoms in Arashiya, with sparkling murmuring of the river and the quaint Togetsukyo Bridge in the spring the all add to the beauty of such scene.
This work combines the techniques of Kyoto woodblock prints, which are like soft and expression of Nihonga, and Edo Ukiyoe which uses bright colors. The cherry blossoms have been printed over and over adding depth to their beauty.
