Shoto Todoroki — My Hero Academia
Shoto Todoroki — My Hero Academia
A traditional Japanese woodblock print inspired by the globally acclaimed anime “My Hero Academia” is here!
Its beloved characters have been reimagined through Kyoto-style woodblock printing (Kyō-hanga), a craft that carries forward more than 1,200 years of printing tradition. By incorporating the visual language of ukiyo-e, these works present the characters in a striking new form that bridges contemporary anime and traditional Japanese art.
The original artwork was specially created for this project by Kazuki Nojima, a woodblock carver and artist at Takezasado.
CRAFTALE — Carrying Japanese Craft into the Next Generation
CRAFTALE is a new brand launched by HIKE Inc., dedicated to the sustainable preservation and continuation of traditional craftsmanship. For its inaugural release, the ukiyo-e woodblock prints inspired by the anime My Hero Academia have been produced by Takezasado, a traditional woodblock print studio led by Master Printer Kenji Takenaka.
